This summer, our Vacation Bible School star-gazers will go on a galactic adventure! Children ages 4 years old through 6th grade (entering in fall, 2017) are invited to join us for five evenings of exploration – Sunday, July 9th through Thursday, July 13th from 6 to 8:40 p.m. Vacation Bible School will conclude with a Family Night on Friday, July 14th which will include a program, refreshments, and games. Contact the church office of First Baptist Cameron for a registration form.

Kids who have completed grades 3, 4, 5, or 6 are invited to join us for camp, July 5th through 8th. We will be attending camp at Midland Ministries’ “Super C” Camp in Polo, Missouri. Early registration has ended but it is not too late to include your child in this summer camp adventure. See Pastor Terry for details and registration information. Don’t delay! The longer you wait to register the more-costly it is to attend.

Children love to play! Their early years are full of pretending to be someone they are not! Act-Up/Sing-Out is an after-school program that teaches acting and singing skills through the use of stories, scripts, and music. Open to children in grades 1 through 6, Act-Up/Sing-Out meets every Thursday from mid-September through early May. Be looking for registration information in August, 2017 for our 2017-2018 session. There is no cost for children to participate and the group is open to non-members of First Baptist Cameron. Sessions are held on Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

“Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” – The goal of the AWANA ministry is to reach boys and girls with Gospel of Jesus Christ and to train them to serve Him. AWANA clubs at First Baptist Church are for children from two years of age through the sixth grade. Each Wednesday night during the club year (September through April), clubbers meet in clubs for a rotation of activities between council time (Bible story), handbook time, and game time. With additional activities such as filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, the Awana Store, the Game Circle Challenge, and the Grand Prix – clubbers stay active and involved in a variety of projects and special events. The year ends with an awards dinner at which time book awards and other achievements are recognized.

The 2017-2018 club year will resume on Wednesday, August 30th with a registration event at First Baptist Church from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Be looking for registration forms to be available on the church’s web site in early July.
