“Act-Up/Sing-Out” is a weekly performing arts opportunity for children in grades 1 through 6. This group meets on Mondays from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Combining singing, movement, acting, puppets, and theater games – the weekly sessions are highly interactive. Students will be exposed to the fundamentals of singing and acting while working on music to present as well as an end-of-year musical to be presented in May. A registration form is required for a child to participate and may be picked-up in the office of the Music Pastor at FBC.
(meets ONLY when
school is in session)
Partnering with parents to make devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Parenting is hard. Sometimes we get bogged down by our schedules, stretched in a million different directions just so we can provide our kids with the best opportunities. At FBC, we believe that our children need to know that God loves them and wants a relationship with them. He is to be trusted and is always there. We work with parents to help our children develop and foster a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While there may be a million different things begging for your child's attention, there is only One God. FBC wants to partner with you to help your child become a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
ACT UP, SING OUT
(Begins Sept. 16th)
Get your children ready for some high-energy fun and learning. The goal of Awana Clubs is to reach boys and girls for Christ and train them to serve Him. Distinctly Christian and Bible-centered, each club meeting has three distinct segments to provide start-to-finish adventure.
The Awana year begins in September and runs through the end of April. Clubbers may be picked up in the sanctuary at 7:30 pm when the teacher is presented with the child’s matching parent ticket.
The lively, and fast paced Game Time features individual and team competition. Kids' natural energy and enthusiasm are unleashed. Kids everywhere love Awana games!
Awana handbooks emphasize memorization and understanding of key Bible verses. With a leader alongside to encourage and guide, clubbers are rewarded for their achievements as they progress through the handbooks.
The whole club gathers for a Bible message, singing and announcements of upcoming events. One highlight of Large Group Time is the presentation of awards for individual handbook progress and team competition.
