Our Mission: Our mission is to help IMB missionaries as they plant churches, disciple others, and pray for their community. 
Our Method: 

One-on-one evangelism and teaching Bible classes.

Skills Needed:
You could be involved in activities such as prayer-walking, evangelism, creative outreach, working in schools and gospel distribution.
​The people are somewhat receptive but uninformed regarding the Gospel.
​ Spanish - We will work with and through translators.
​Daily high temperatures in July are around 78°F, rarely falling below 74°F or exceeding 81°F.
Team Size:
Our church is partnering with River of Life. Together, we will bring between 11-13 team members.
Expected Dates:
Leave  and arrive July 7th and leave July 14th.  
Estimated Cost:
​Each student and sponsor from FBC qualifies for a $500 scholarship. Total cost is anticipated to be between $1500-$1700 before the scholarship. This is not including passport, visa, and shots.

  • Costa Rica has a population of 4.1 million.  The capital is San Jose, with a metro area population of approximately 2 million.  The life expectancy is almost 77 years, one of the highest in the world.
  • The average wage laborer is about $10 per day, the highest in Central America. 
  • ​The staples of the Costa Rican diet are rice and black beans, along with bread, chicken or meat, vegetables, salads, and fruits.  Rice and beans mixed together for breakfast is called GALLO PINTO.
  • Through pre-trip and on-the-ground training as well as hands-on cross-cultural ministry, participants will be prepared to work in missions in a healthy way.
  • ​There will be extensive walking and humidity
  • We will arrive and depart from San Jose Airport
