Short-Term Missions

Short-term missionaries work with local believers to spread the Gospel message and the love of Jesus with as many people as possible. They help strengthen churches already in existence and help plant new churches.

Who is a Missionary?

What Does the Bible Say About Missions?

Cameron FBC partners with three orphan ministries.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress. -James 1:27

Long-Term Missions

Feeling called to the mission field for what could be several months or maybe even years? Wanting to live a purposeful life, sharing the love of Christ internationally? There are some great sending agencies that are worth looking into.

At FBC Cameron, we are a group of people that are trying to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Like anybody, there have been times when we've asked God to fit around our own schedules, desires, and dreams. However, we are to be a people that fit our lives around God and His plans. That isn't always easy. Here at this church, we are trying to encourage one another to make Jesus the Boss of our lives. His commands and His will should be the most important thing to us. Who is a missionary? According to the Bible, we all should be sharing God's Word and love with our loved ones, neighbors, and people throughout the world.

MISSIONS

The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the Gospel to all nations. Therefore, First Baptist Cameron is striving to become a missional church.

We want evangelism and missions to become a passion, where church leaders and the congregation agree that the church exists to see God glorified in β€œall nations.” We encourage everyone to be involved in mission trips.

Ultimately, we have an eternal hope in Jesus Christ and we want others to share in that hope. Jesus said it best in John 14:6, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
